Steven Koh

Steven leads the Transaction Services practice and also serves a selected portfolio of Audit & Assurance clients, where he is the originator or primary relationship holder.​
 

He began his career in 2005 with PwC’s Audit and Assurance practice as an Audit Associate. During his time at PwC, he specialised in the financial services sector, auditing major local and foreign financial institutions as well as asset managers.​
 

In 2011, Steven joined KPMG Malaysia as a Manager in the Transaction Services practice. He successfully completed numerous financial due diligence engagements across a wide range of commercial sectors, including technology, general trading and retail, and media and entertainment. In 2012, he was recruited by a client as the Country Financial Controller to manage the post-deal integration of a Malaysian subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company. He later oversaw the sell-side acquisition process, by a leading Fortune 100 company, in the same role.​
 

Steven returned to professional practice in 2017 after five years in various commercial roles, bringing with him solid business acumen developed through business partnering and consulting roles where he advised senior business executives. Since his return, he has provided a mix of audit and deal advisory services to a diverse range of clients.​
 

In addition to his professional expertise, Steven is a Distinguished Toastmaster, recognised for his strong communication and leadership abilities. He previously served as Area Director for Area B2, Division B, District 102, where he led the area to achieve Select Distinguished Area status for the 2018/2019 term.
