Karthigayan Supramaniam

Karthigayan is an Executive Director of Advisory at BDO in Malaysia, where he currently manages a portfolio of internal audit and risk management engagements. He has more than 25 years experience in internal audit and risk management in various industries including manufacturing, trading, construction, property development, aviation, and oil & gas. Prior to joining BDO, Karthigayan was attached as an Audit & Risk Manager at a large diversified group listed in the Malaysian Stock Exchange.

In BDO, Karthigayan has successfully carried out various internal control reviews for IPO purposes, and executed multiple value-added internal audit assignments for numerous PLCs and MNCs. In addition, he has extensive experience in establishing enterprise risk framework for companies to mitigate and manage their business and operational risk. He has also performed IT General Control audit engagements supporting relevant statutory financial audits as required and completed several pre and post ERP implementation review for public listed companies. 

Karthigayan is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) of CIMA. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
