Dannie Wong

Dannie Wong is the Audit Partner in BDO Brunei. She has 18 years of experience in the accounting profession. Prior to joining BDO, she was with Hii & Lee (currently known as Crowe Horwath), Foo, Kon & Tan and Sylvester Leong & Company. She is experienced in recommending internal control systems, audit of statutory financial statements, providing tax services and business consultation. Dannie is also involved in the audit for fraud investigation as well as preparing accountant’s report for the legal firms.
 
The industries that she has experience in are oil and gas, shipping, telecommunication, hospitality and tourism, industrial products, consumer markets, building and construction, trading, retailing and services industries.
 
Her current work includes coordinating the activities of the audit team, reviewing audit files and overseeing the audit team’s planning to completion of the statutory audits, establish strategies to carry out comprehensive audit plans, proposes recommendations for effective internal controls after examining clients’ current systems, assesses audit risks involved in the engagement, and various special nature engagements. She is responsible to ensure that clients comply with all applicable requirements of the national accounting standards; Brunei Darussalam Accounting Standards for Non-Public Interest Entities, International Financial Reporting Standards, Corporate Laws and Taxation Laws of Brunei Darussalam.
