Overview
As an Audit Manager, you will lead and manage the engagement team on audit assignments for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. You will oversee the audit process, maintain client relationships, and guide a team of auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards while delivering high-quality audit services.
You are expected to provide guidance and mentoring of junior team members on their personal growth and career progression.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute audits in accordance with regulations, developing effective audit strategies and risk assessments aligned with BDO’s policies
- Prepare and review audit reports for accuracy and clarity, presenting findings to both clients and management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Foster a positive learning environment by coaching and mentoring junior team members to support their personal and professional development
Education and professional skills / knowledge
Experience and Education:
- More than 6 years of working experience preferably in a professional services environment
- At least 1 year of experience in leading and managing teams
- A recognized degree in Accounting or equivalent with a Professional Accounting qualification and / or membership in Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Other skills:
- Possess strong people management, interpersonal, communication and networking skills
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Strong client service orientation
- Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent command of English
