Overview

As an Audit Manager, you will lead and manage the engagement team on audit assignments for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. You will oversee the audit process, maintain client relationships, and guide a team of auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards while delivering high-quality audit services. 

You are expected to provide guidance and mentoring of junior team members on their personal growth and career progression. 


Key responsibilities 

  • Plan and execute audits in accordance with regulations, developing effective audit strategies and risk assessments aligned with BDO’s policies 
  • Prepare and review audit reports for accuracy and clarity, presenting findings to both clients and management 
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality deliverables 
  • Foster a positive learning environment by coaching and mentoring junior team members to support their personal and professional development 
 

Education and professional skills / knowledge

Experience and Education:

  • More than 6 years of working experience preferably in a professional services environment 
  • At least 1 year of experience in leading and managing teams 
  • A recognized degree in Accounting or equivalent with a Professional Accounting qualification and / or membership in Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

  • Possess strong people management, interpersonal, communication and networking skills 
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills 
  • Strong client service orientation  
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent command of English
