
Eric Siow brings close to three decades of experience advising businesses through complex insolvency and restructuring situations.
His expertise spans corporate liquidation, receivership, business recovery and distressed asset management across a broad range of industries, including property development, manufacturing, trading and services. Known for his solutions-oriented approach, Eric helps clients navigate challenging situations with clarity and commercial focus.
Throughout his career, Eric has led and managed numerous corporate liquidation and receivership engagements. He has overseen the dissolution of companies, managed distressed assets and operations, and advised stakeholders on navigating complex insolvency processes.
Additionally, he served as liquidator and General Manager of a property development and tourism company, where he was responsible for managing the company's assets, overseeing operations, ensuring statutory compliance, and facilitating communications with creditors and shareholders.
Eric was a contributor to The Law & Practice of Corporate Insolvency in Malaysia, published by Thomson Reuters in 2019.
Prior to joining BDO, Eric was the Head of Restructuring at a mid-size international accounting firm in Malaysia. He has also previously served as an Executive Director and Head of Corporate Recovery at a boutique insolvency firm, where he established and led the firm’s Corporate Recovery and Conveyancing Department for over 16 years.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership and advisory roles at a local accounting firm and a former Big Six accounting firm, now part of the Big Four.
