Overview
The role involves monitoring and remediation activities in accordance with ISQM 1, with regular interaction with the quality management team and senior stakeholders. It provides insight into the functioning of the Firm’s system of quality management and works closely with the execution team, process owners, and Firm Leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Firm’s leadership team in overseeing internal quality management processes and driving continuous improvement across the Firm’s system of quality management, particularly in identifying gaps within the control environment and ISQM components
- Support component leads in documenting controls, addressing identified gaps, and resolving operational blockers
- Oversee testing activities and review the results of ISQM components to assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls
- Analyse process interdependencies, evaluate findings and deficiencies, and provide practical recommendations to strengthen the Firm’s quality management system
- Ensure information in the quality management tool is accurately maintained and updated in line with tests performed, observations raised, and findings identified
- Communicate observations, key findings, and remediation progress clearly to relevant stakeholders, while managing expectations professionally and effectively
- Participate in key initiatives to drive continuous improvement through innovation and transformation, embracing change and challenging existing processes to develop new ways of working
Education and professional skills/ knowledge
Experience & Education:
- A recognised degree in Accounting or equivalent and/or a professional accounting qualification
- At least 8 years of experience in related field
- Well-versed in the segment of International Standard on Quality Management 1 and 2 (ISQM 1 & 2)
- Experience in performing financial statements review, hot review of audit files, or ISQM reviews is highly desirable
Other skills:
- Strong commitment to audit quality, with experience in exercising critical thinking, professional judgment, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong people management, interpersonal, communication, and networking skills
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with a strong command of written and spoken English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
