Overview
As a Manager in Forensic Services, you will lead high-impact investigations into financial irregularities, legal disputes, and cybersecurity incidents. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive on uncovering the truth, solving complex problems, and providing insights that shape stronger business practices. With your leadership, you’ll guide teams, work closely with clients, and deliver outcomes that make a lasting difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead forensic engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery, client satisfaction, and adherence to regulatory and risk management standards
- Provide support on dispute resolution matters, working closely with clients and their legal teams/counsels to navigate legal and regulatory challenges
- Oversee digital forensic work, applying tools and techniques to uncover and interpret electronic evidence critical to investigations and legal proceedings
- Lead a team to conduct forensic and investigative audits, provide litigation support, and conduct regulatory compliance reviews in line with the firm’s risk management practices
- Conduct fact-finding and admission-seeking interviews, and review interview notes and summaries for accuracy
- Work with the team to collect and analyse data to evaluate allegations of fraud, misconduct, or irregularities
- Review and analyze financial information, applying data analytics to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that may indicate fraudulent activity or financial mismanagement
- Identify root causes and internal control weaknesses and recommend practical solutions to strengthen processes and prevent future issues
- Manage and mentor a team of forensic professionals, providing guidance on client engagements and supporting their professional development
- Be the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns while offering proactive advice on fraud prevention and risk management
- Contribute to documentation and evidence preparation for court proceedings, when required
- Identify new business opportunities, prepare proposals, and highlight the firm’s expertise in forensic services
Education and professional skills/ knowledge
Experience and Education:
- A recognized degree in Finance and Accounting or equivalent with at least a second class upper classification
- A minimum of 5 years’ working experience in an accounting or auditing role, preferably from professional services background
- Additional professional qualification in Forensic related fields, such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) will be an added advantage
Other skills:
- Outstanding organisation and project management skills
- Advanced investigative and analytical abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex data
- High attention to detail, with the ability to identify inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and potential risks
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate teams effectively
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with data analytics tools is an added advantage
- Proficient in the use of digital forensic tools and techniques to collect, analyze, and preserve electronic evidence in compliance with legal standards
