Overview
Based in our Kuala Lumpur office, the Business Services & Outsourcing (“BSO”) team provides clients with the full range of accounting and back-office services, including bookkeeping, management accounting, financial reporting, SST compliance, payroll & compliance and any other ad hoc advice and assistance on accounting-related matters.
As an Assistant Manager/Manager, you will be responsible for managing client accounting engagements, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality financial reporting, and supporting the development of team members.

Overview
Based in our Kuala Lumpur office, the Business Services & Outsourcing (“BSO”) team provides clients with the full range of accounting and back-office services, including bookkeeping, management accounting, financial reporting, SST compliance, payroll & compliance and any other ad hoc advice and assistance on accounting-related matters.
As an Assistant Manager/Manager, you will be responsible for managing client accounting engagements, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality financial reporting, and supporting the development of team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, including liaising with clients and internal teams as required
- Prepare and review statutory accounts and disclosures in accordance with IFRS, MFRS, and other relevant accounting frameworks
- Prepare and review XBRL conversions of financial statements in accordance with SSM’s MBRS regime
- Prepare reliable monthly financial information to support business owners in making informed decisions
- Conduct strong project management across all deliverables within the assigned portfolio, ensuring deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and any issues are raised with superiors or clients in a timely manner, where appropriate
- Assist in researching complex technical accounting areas and provide suitable solutions
- Involve in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and performance analysis for clients
- Ensure the firm’s risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to at all times
- Support the management team in business development activities
- Supervise and support junior staff through work reviews, coaching, and development guidance to ensure client deliverables are completed accurately and on time
Education and professional skills / knowledge
Experience & Education:
- A recognised degree in Accounting or equivalent, with at least a Second-Class Upper classification with a Professional Accounting qualification such as ICAEW/ACCA/CPA/MICPA
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience
Other skills
- Experience in managing accounting deliverables, reviewing work, and supporting client reporting requirements
- Working knowledge of accounting software packages, including Xero, Microsoft Dynamics and Oracle Netsuite
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and internal stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
